Incorreggibile,
divertente e all'apparenza credulone Lupin III
è stato ospite gradito nelle case dei più o meno giovani di
ogni generazione; gracile ed agile, dalla risata contagiosa
è uno dei ladri delle serie d'animazione a cui hanno
voluto bene proprio tutti. Divertente sì, ma assolutamente
geniale: ogni qual volta s’insedia nella sua mente la volontà
di voler sottrarre un'opera ad un Museo nel mondo, o un cimelio
nascosto in una dimora superprotetta di qualche riccone, architetta
il piano e porta a termine l'impresa. Il suo bisogno di rubare
è un fatto genetico. Prima di lui suo padre, e ancor prima suo
nonno, il mitico Arsenio Lupin, gli hanno tramandato il gusto
per il furto col DNA e, assieme ad esso, la voglia di battere
i record dei suoi predecessori per riuscire ad ottenere il premio
più ambito dai ladri internazionali, il Lupin d'Oro. Ma spesso,
più che dalla voglia di primeggiare, i furti sono mossi
dall'amore: si, perché il ladro Lupin, oltre ad essere
un tipo scanzonato, è molto sensibile al fascino femminile,
in particolar modo, di quello della prorompente Fujiko.

Coinvolti
nelle sue imprese gli amici di sempre, compagni fraterni d'avventura:
Jigen e Goemon, il miglior
pistolero di ogni tempo e il più abile samurai del Giappone;
i due pur tentando puntualmente di distrarre i pensieri di Lupin
dall'idea di furti improbabili e dal richiamo del corpo di Fujiko,
finiscono col cedere sempre alle sue volontà. Banpresto, brand
giapponese produttore di giocattoli per bambini, ha dedicato
ai cinque personaggi una collezione di action figure ideali
per giocare; la stessa sorte possono vivere le action figure
dei personaggi di Lupin III proposte dal marchio Kaiyodo,
veri gioiellini per intenditori.
Ogni
action figure di Lupin III prodotta da Kaiyodo, è in plastica
preverniciata e termoriscaldata, e questo rende tutti i personaggi
lucidi e lisci al tatto, come tirati a nuovo. Tutte le action
figure dei personaggi di Lupin III hanno le medesime dimensioni:
14 cm, per personaggi superarticolati, con
ben 17 punti snodabili a sfera ben evidenziati, che donano ad
ogni soggetto una forma stilizzata ma non sommaria, anzi perfetta
nell'espressione del viso, negli accessori in dotazione e soprattutto
negli abiti che vestono i singoli personaggi. L'immancabile
giacca rossa, sempre aperta, è mobile nell'action figure di
Lupin III, e copre la camicia celeste chiusa da una cravatta
rosa. Jigen invece indossa il suo completo azzurro e il cappello
con la visiera abbassata: in bocca una sigaretta ormai al termine,
nella mano destra una rivoltella Smith e Wesson.
Ovviamente
il gusto del rischio, del furto e di essere scoperti non avrebbe
senso se non ci fosse l'ispettore Zenigata:
sempre presente, alle calcagna di Lupin e dei suoi amici, è
venduto nell'indimenticabile soprabito marrone, cappello in
testa e manette a disposizione: Lupin III è sempre dietro l'angolo
e l'ispettore Zenigata la prossima volta forse non se
lo lascerà sfuggire.
